Cold Pumas Unveil Sensible Thing Video
Following their debut album release 'Persistent Malaise' last November
( http://littleindieblogs.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/cold-pumas-debut-album.html?m=1 ) Brighton trio Cold Pumas return with a video release of a new track, 'Sensible Thing'.
Typical of their lo-fi, repetitive motorik drone, with the familiar dual guitaring, it flys in your face with that edgy trademark moody Joy Division sound that intently aims to fog your brain.
Cold Pumas are not fast workers when it comes to turning out new material (in five years there have only been three single solo releases along with two splits, aside from the aforementioned album), so even this session video is a rarity in itself. But if it represents their shaking off their musical cloak of winter, that is indeed a very sensible thing.
Cold Pumas are live at The Shacklewell Arms, London on March 20 2013 (supporting Parquet Courts) and at The Green Door Store, Brighton, on April 1 (opening for Hookworms).
