Sparrow And The Workshop Set For Murderopolis Release
Glasgow-based trio Sparrow and the Workshop announce their forthcoming album ‘Murderopolis’ is set for release on May 27 thru Song By Toad Records.
Following on from ‘Shock Shock’, the first single taken from the album, they continue to showcase a darker tone. The cacophonous guitar and bass lines and pounding drum beats of ‘Darkness’, ‘The Faster You Spin’ and recent single ‘Shock Shock’ emphasise the fact that Sparrow and the Workshop can truly pack a ferocious punch. Contrasting with these are the haunting melodies of ‘Odessa’, ‘Water Won’t Fall’ and album closer ‘Happy Days’, flaunting the trio’s versatility, yet even these tracks build up to an unrelenting crescendo.
The band have a short run of live dates lined up as follows:
May 04 Machynlleth Wales, Machynlleth Comedy Festival
May 08 Glasgow, Mono
May 09 Edinburgh, Caves
Jun 24 London, Lexington
