We may not be quite yet in our dotetage here at LIB, but we do tend to be rather 'decibel aware' and anything that requires a volume adjustment is usually not for us. However, on the tip-off from a member of one of our favourite bands Wide Eyed, we got on to this new single release from To The Bones. And whilst it could leave your ears bleeding on a live outing, it does actually grow on you.
‘Emperor’s Ride’, mixed by Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Ash, Idlewild), wad released last week via Martian Pop Records through all good major online digital retailers, and is the first single from the band's forthcoming album, which is set to be released this summer.
To The Bones are hailing this as their “best music to date”, and while the sound is loud and the riffs big, there's an appeal to their energy and dynamism that is on a par with QOTSA and Foo Fighters.
