Today's Hot Track :: Woman's Hour - Darkest Place
From the Cumbrian hills to London, Woman's Hour have garnered themselves a reputation since their 2011 formation for turning out those stirring, hypnotic evocations that have a habit of becoming locked in your head. Their debut AA-side release, ’To The End’/ Our Love Has No Rhythm’ was enough to satisfy hungry ears for a taste of entrancing rhythms and the smooth-as-chocolate vocals of Fiona Burgess.
The four-piece now return with a new single release: ‘Darkest Place’, out on October 21 thru Luv Luv Luv Records.
Keyboard riffs that sparkle, shimmering guitar lines, and of course once again, the softly rich, gossamer-like vocal from Ms Burgess. A track that reaches just over the four-minute mark, with the last 90 seconds being the ones to ultimately cherish - and that you'll want to repeat again as soon as the last chord ends.
Woman’s Hour headline Bethnal Green Working Man’s Club, London, on November 6.
