Glacials Make 'Serious' Debut
London-based post-rock quintet Glacials are marking their emergence into the world this week by sharing their debut EP 'We Are Serious and We Mean It' for free download.
The six track release features lead single 'Sweet Tooth Pink Wrist'. The band teamed up with NYC-based filmmaker and 3D artist Tyler Hurd to produce the video for the track and came away with the perfect visual accompaniment to their music. The song encapsulates every element of Glacials' post-rocking, glitchy, shoegazey sound and makes for the perfect flagship to introduce them to the world at large.
Glacials are four boys and one girl, brought together by a shared love of white noise and whispers, living in London but hailing collectively from China, Poland, America and the North of England. Their music is multifaceted, mixing the ethereal female vocals of a Mazzy Star with the sonic wash of Mogwai, the stuttering electronics of Aphex Twin, the edge of Nirvana and the swirl of My Bloody Valentine.
‘We Are Serious and We Mean It’ is also released on gorgeous clear 12" vinyl limited to 200 records only from glacials.bandcamp.com
