Introducing :: TAYALA
Not sure about the girlie mag type covers, but otherwise Hull quartet TAYALA pack a vibrant indie sound, one that you can see our American cousins going for in the same way as The 1975. Newly released 'Stay' is full of those catchy hooks and a breezy rhythm that sticks around in your head.
The name 'TAYALA', band member John Hallam tells us, "is a name inspired by a small Native North American tribe that Adam (our singer) learnt about whilst undertaking a solo trip across North America." As a result of that trip, and his dropping out of university, was to lead to Adam hooking up with Jack, John and Luke to form TAYALA in the summer of last year.
The band are currently 'in talks' with several major publishing companies, but for now check out a few of their tracks below, including the video to 'Stay', which was released on October 17.
You can catch TAYALA live at the following upcoming dates:
November 8
Craven Park, Kingston upon Hull
November 12
Notting Hill Arts Club, London
November 21
Fruit, Hull
December 10
The Sesh, Linnet And Lark, Hull
