Introducing :: Doe
The three-piece London indie-punkers Doe who formed early last year, made an early impression with a couple of impressive EPs in 2013 (which even included a cover of the Pixies' 'Gigantic') ending the year with the single release of the scuzzily infectious ‘Late Bloomer’ in November, and a series of European dates with The Exhausts.
With their female-led vocals and sans bass sound, Doe keep it primal, yet immensely listenable. Check out 'Late Bloomer' below.
Now in 2014 they look set to keep the impetus going with an imminent 3-track tape accompanied by a lyric / photo zine that will be out in mid March on Keroleen Records, plus a split 7" with Canadian band Taxa will be out in May on Clue #2 Records.
Doe also have a 10-date UK tour scheduled for April, starting with a
London home gig on April 17 at Power Lunches. Full dates to he announced shortly. Before then, however, they play February 15 at Audacious, Sheffield, followed by London's Urban Bar on February 20.
Doe are: Nicola - vocals, guitar; Alex - guitar; Jake - drums, vocals.
