London by way of Norwich, the four-piece alternative poppy/folky/rocky outfit Port Isla are about to release their debut EP of "big choruses and a large dose of harmony", 'Steamroller', via iTunes on April 28.
The former University of East Anglia music students have been treading the “middle ground” between folk and pop since 2011, and racking up some impressive tastemaker interest along the way.
The EP title track comes over in a typically enthusively joyous indie-folky singalong way that places them somewhere in the middle of Mumford & Sons and Stornoway.
