Track Of The Day :: Spring Offensive - Bodylifting
No pain, no gain appears to be the message in this latest single from Oxford five-piece Spring Offensive.
The video for 'Bodylifting' - watch above - was conceived and directed by the band's Matt Cooper (guitar) and Lucas Whitworth (vocals) and depicts the great cinematic underdog sporting story. The band feature as haphazard members of a sports team in training for a momentous and career-defining match-up in front of industry talent scouts.
'Bodylifting' is the latest single to be taken from Spring Offensive's debut album 'Young Animal Hearts'. Its rhythmic danceable vibe, uplifting chorus, swirling organ and guitars are all stylistically precise, while lyrically tackling the hyper-sensitive state of fearing being abandoned by a lover.
Spring Offensive headline Hoxton Bar & Grill, London on April 24, followed by three festival appearances at The Great Escape in May.
'Bodylifting' is released digitally on May 12 via Spring Offensive/KARTEL.
