Stoke-on-Trent's psych-extraordinaires Psyence have just released their latest single 'Chemicals for Breakfast', which came out on Monday.
Shirking the kraut-rock and dark side of post-psych while transcending the eternal cheesiness of the free-love Daisy age, Psyence blur the lines of 60s Americana garage rock and modern-day psychedelia such as Pond and Temples.
'Chemicals for Breakfast' - the follow up to their debut single 'Zebra' - is a five-minute wall of sound that takes more unexpected turns than a David Lynch film. So, not about imbibing too much caffeine or nicotine then.
LIVE DATES
May 03. Liverpool Sound City
May 09. London Hope & Anchor
May 31. Nottingham Jam Cafe
