Introducing :: Jacob & Goliath
Now we can guess who the Jacob is in this new three-piece outfit, but the jury's out on the Goliath, but suffice to say, they sound young and vibrant, and this debut should win them over a fledgling fanbase.
Jacob & Goliath, hailing from Brentford, West London, consist of Jacob Simpson (vocals/guitar), Charlie Brown (drums/backing vocals) and Sam Bryan (keyboards). Their debut EP ‘Eyes Conveyed’ is out on June 15 via Manchester’s LAB Records, and was produced by Paul Stanborough in his East London studio, The Biscuit Factory.
At only 18-years-old, and every inch a pop-star in the making, Jacob’s passion for music came alive at 14 when he hitched a ride to Glastonbury on the tour bus of pop-folk maestro Nick Lowe. The experience was enough to blow taking up a steady job on leaving school to pursue music as a career.
An early gig caught the attention of Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative Officer at Burberry, who immediately handpicked the band to shoot a Burberry Acoustic session.
Jacob & Goliath play The Islington, London on July 2.
