Wildest Dreams is the name of the new London/Portsmouth dream-pop duo formed only in April this year. Comprising Holly Mullineaux on lead guitar/vocals and Zoe Mead on samples/synth/vocals, their first online upload to catch attention is 'Dark Matter'.
A drifting track that catches some swirling hooks and guitar loops that sounds not too unlike what a Warpaint/Still Corners pairing might turn out like. As the title suggests, it is lyrically pretty dark, underneath the somewhat ethereal vocals and delicately dreamy top coat: “If you go away / I won’t sleep at night / I’ll leave the curtains closed / and forget my troubles in the dark.”
After making their live debut at the end of May at The Cellars in Portsmouth, they now follow with dates below - with more to come.
