The Stationary Set In Close Encounter Of The Third Kind Video
Brooklyn indie five-piece The Stationary Set debut the music video for their latest single 'Year of My Sign'. The video is a cinematic affair befitting of the track's soaring production, uplifting beats, and captivating choruses, and features the band trying to make contact with aliens from outer space. Did ET get in touch? Check out the video below and find out.
The track itself is taken from their just released EP, 'Lion'. Standing at the intersection between post-new wave, indie intricacy, and pop panache, the collection is slick and strikkng, from the energy of opener 'Lion and Lamb' to the ethereal haze of 'Love in the Dark'.
The band first emerged in 2009. Since then, they've sharpened their sound in front of both local and national audiences, playing festivals like SXSW and CMJ, and sharing stages with diverse artists including X Ambassadors, Phoenix, RZA, Temper Trap, Mumford & Sons, The Drums, and We Are Scientists.
