Track Of The Day :: Casitas - Dominoes
We have a confession to make. Here at Little Indie we try and maintain a professional stance and not let our personal preferences come into, or cloud, an issue. However, we have to admit that when the Casitas video for new single 'Dominoes' landed in our inbox it did leave us feeling just a little hot and bothered ... and swooning in for a closer view. Come on, folks, vocalist Barnaby is pretty hot, you have to agree!
Even aside of that - though that would have been plenty - the track fortunately happens to be a darned good one that grabs you within the first sixty seconds with its catchy pop foot-tapping beat. The former Devon-ites fivesome, now based in London, first came to our notice back in January when we featured their track 'Gold' here so we know they are not shy of turning out a good tune. And like the aforementioned, 'Dominoes' too bursts with that trademark Casitas effervescence that is hard to resist, although with less of the tropical flavour that has been present before - and all the better for it: this is their best outing so far.
'Dominoes' is released digitally on July 11 and available via iTunes.
Casitas play Sebright Arms, London on July 19. (We recommend getting there early and taking up a front row position.)
