Listen :: Graveyard Club
Fresh out of Minneapolis, Graveyard Club unveil the first single from their debut album 'Nightingale'.
Formed last year, the quartet wrotd and recorded their first EP 'Sleepwalk' in the basement of a 19th-century mansion in St. Paul, Minnesota. Working with Ed Ackerson at Flowers Studio in Minneapolis, the band's full-length continues the sound established on
'Sleepwalk', while also moving further into atmospheric dream pop.
'The Night is Mine', which came out on July 9, has some strong Brit sound inflections - and indeed, the band cite as influences 80s New Wave style as much as from today's dream pop artists such as Wild Nothing, and Youth Lagoon.
Graveyard Club are: Matthew Schufman (vocals, keys); Michael Wojtalewicz (guitar); Cory Jacobs (drums); Amanda Zimmerman (bass, backing vocals).
