Bath singer/songstress Laura Doggett may be a name unknown to many at this stage, but given that she has just played to a capacity crowd as support to Agnes Obel at Somerset House, has had her first release already played on Radio One last week, and that being produced by the currently much-vaunted SOHN - well, it has to be said she's kicking off on a flying start.
'Phoenix' is her debut single, produced by SOHN, and is a dark, seductive lo-fi track that SOHN has utilised his love of the minimal on to create a bedrock of piano samples, looped effects, skittering synths, light reverb, and Laura’s soulful voice - which all combine to make for one impressive first offering.
