Morgan Square may not yet be a name tripping easily off the tongue, but springing from the hive of psychedelic activity in Denmark - Aarhus - and in keeping with the current surge of popularity towards our Scandinavian cousins, the psych rock five-piece are set to release their debut self-titled album this week.
It may seem like a long time getting product out when you find that they formed over two years ago from the ashes of previous bands. But perfectionists as they obviously are, they have been searching for the right sound to compliment their thought-provoking lyrics, and musical inspiration stemming from Pink Floyd to the weird and wonderful Oriental Express; throw in a hint of Danish folk to the pot, mix thoroughly - and the result is Morgan Square.
A band to keep an eye on for the future, for if their album is anything to go by - we can expect exciting things from them in the future.
