Listen :: New Track From Tasmanian Shoegazers Lyke Giants

'Tasmanian indie-shoegazers' as the Tasmanian Lyke Giants are so described, sounds like they could well be a musical variant of a Tasmanian Devil (that's a carnivorous marsupial of the family Dasyuridae, in case you didn't know). But names aside, this Australian three-piece - brothers Callaghn and Luke Thomson, and close friend James Brewer -  have just released their new track 'Let Up'.

Recorded in Tasmania, and mixed and mastered in the US, 'Let Up' manages to be punchy and gritty but still maintains a sense of space, and presided over by Brewer's commanding vocals.

The theme behind  'Let Up' is a portrayal of someone in a hopeless situation, who is encouraged to stop what is happening and change the outcome for the better.

“'Let Up' happened very naturally for us, with the parts coming together fairly quickly. We feel it’s a great transition into our next body of work.” – Lyke Giants
