Workaholic Philly punks Beach Slang, set to put out their second EP of the year - 'Cheap Thrills On A Dead End Street' - and following a taster via the fuzzy 'All Fuzzed Out' and quick-fire 'American Girls and French Kisses', they now give us 'Dirty Cigarettes'.
Beach Slang - vocalist James Snyder (Weston), drummer JP Flexner (Ex-Friends), and Ed McNulty (NONA) on bass - made their debut with debut with 'Who Would Ever Want Anything So Broken?', and now belt out this anthemic Goo Goo Dolls / Replacements / Springsteen cross rock'n'roll belter that builds on some exultant riffage and a melody that aches on its poignant chorus of, "All I want are records on my stereo / I'm better off, baby, when I'm all alone / That's a lie."
'Cheap Thrills On A Dead End Street' is released digitally on September 30/October 28 on vinyl thru Tiny Engines.
