Celebrating his 31st birthday today (September 5), Norwegian singer / songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sondre Lerche gives another early track taster from his latest album 'Please', out in a few weeks.
After an earlier unveiling of 'Bad Law', he now brings us 'Sentimentalist'. Given that the album was written after and largely inspired by, the end of his eight-year marriage in 2013 to Norwegian model and actress Mona Fastvold, you can guess this is not going to be the most uplifting of works. Moody, affecting and downright downcast, it is nonetheless something to hear.
'Please' is released on September 23 via Mona Records.
