Track Of The Day :: Tell No Foxx - Fusillade
Sometimes songs just seem born to lift sinking spirits and capture your attention from the first notes. Hello, Tell No Foxx.
Despite a quasi-American feel to their sound, this three-piece - Brian Sillery, Luke Lacey and Johnny Flood, who all met at university - hail from a lot closer to home: Wicklow, Ireland. And following their debut EP release in July (and breakthrough track 'Boulevard') they have obviously been solidifying Sillery's sumptuous vocals with darkish-sounding (though more in a delicious chocolate confectionery way - all lush and gooey) electronica and understated moody guitars, which has resulted in this latest all-points-stopping, big soundscaped, radio-friendly little beauty entitled 'Fusillade', which will be on their follow-up EP out early next year.
Tell No Foxx play Whelan's, Dublin on September 26, followed by Ireland's “Hard Working Class Heroes Festival" on October 4 at The Button Factory, Dublin.
