Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have announced both a new single and a follow-up to their self-titled debut album.

In a live Q+A streamed on Facebook and hosted by BBC 6 Music’s Matt Everitt, Noel revealed that the album, 'Chasing Yesterday' will be released on March 2 2015 via Sour Mash, and can be pre-ordered from today. It will be the band's first work since their debut album of 2011, which has sold 770,000 copies to date in the UK.

The single 'In The Heat Of The Moment' - said to have been “inspired by a documentary in which an astronaut said that going into space for the first time feels like touching the face of God - will be released on November 16 digitally.
