The mysterious Vancouver-based dreampop R&B artist Sundays takes inspiration from Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice for her new cut from forthcoming 'Neverland' EP, out on October 28 via Roshambo Records.
'Shades Of Pemberley' relates to Mr Darcy's estate in the novel; the track, however, is far from straight-laced and staid. It is a sassy piece of mellow electronic soul that follows her debut EP of last year, 'Of Eros and I', and the second single after 'Theia Mania' to be taken from 'Neverland'.
Any mental fantasy images of Colin Firth's portrayal of the fictional character in the 2005 movie, emerging in sodden shirt from the water, should, of course, be firmly blocked.
