Ryn Weaver’s debut single 'Octahate', taken from her debut EP 'Promises' caterpaulted her to attention back in the summer, reaching one million plays on Soundcloud in under two weeks.
While 'OctaHate' has proved the breakthrough for the 21-year-old singer, she has in fact been around for a while, under her real name, Aryn Wüthrich.
'Promises' was produced by Charli XCX, Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos, and multi-platinum producer Benny Blanco. Check out the song's new video, which Weaver co-wrote the treatment for with director Goodwin and served as creative director.
Weaver will make her live debut headlining Bowery Ballroom on October 22 as par of CMJ Music Marathon. Weaver will play further shows at CMJ, to be announced soon.
'Promises' is out now on Friends Keep Secrets/Interscope.
