The Brisbane, Australia-based New Zealander Noah Slee has already been carving out a reputation in his home parts, but could be a name for 2015 to keep in sight - particularly as he is now spending time in Europe, Berlin to be exact.
Formerly with New Zealand’s reggae / roots / hip-hop outfit Spacifix, Slee has supported Grammy nominated soul artist Jill Scott on her Australia tour in 2013, as well as Rufus & Yes You.
Combining contemporary soul, future beats and indie electronica, Slee's impressive gospel-like vocals are blended into the chillzone of funk / soul / experimental, built around a base of rich textures and cross-over soulful sounds with downbeat electro.
Featured on the recent Carmada track 'Realise' and on two tracks on the Yes You EP, Slee is set to put out his own debut EP early in 2015. His new track 'Waterfalls' highlights his distinctive delivery and emotive vocal phrasing.
