James Bay Announced As Brits Critics Choice Winner
Singer-songwriter James Bay has been announced as the Brits Critics' Choice winner for 2015.
The 24-year-old from Hertfordshire beat George The Poet and Years and Years to win the prize, which is chosen by industry experts, and open to new artists who will release their debut album next year.
Bay will receive his trophy - designed by Tracey Emin - officially at the Brit Awards on February 25.
Following the announcement, Bay responded: "I'm pretty speechless. After all the years I've spent watching the Brits and even after this year; watching my fan base grow so much, I never thought I'd actually be getting an award myself. I'm really chuffed, thank you to everyone who has supported me."
Bay's debut album is set for release next spring. He will perform at the Brits nomination party in January, with FKA Twigs and Clean Bandit.
