Listen :: Feral Conservatives - Misfire
Virginia's Feral Conservatives, the indie rock duo fronted by multi-instrumentalist Rashie Rosenfarb with drummer Matt Francis, are set to release their latest EP 'The Feeling Noise Becomes' next month. Before that, they bring us single cut, 'Misfire'.
The song features Rashie's dynamic vocal range, in both the delicate folk trance of the verses drifting over the mandolin to the powerhouse chorus, featuring the disquieting rally of "Did you forget? I'm worth remembering." Described as splitting "the difference between evocative folk and dissonant post-punk, a multi-faceted sound united by an endless sense of creative curiosity."
Said Rashie: “We write a lot of songs about feeling disconnected within the community we live in, and kind of that longing to pick up and start somewhere new. This is one of those songs. I think in this case ‘Misfire’ is also about finding the courage within the despair to still believe in yourself even when you’re feeling depressed and alone — to say you are worth something and you can be something.”
'The Feeling Noise Becomes' is released on February 10 via EggHunt Records.
