Track Of The Day :: Evawolf - When The Truth Is Out
We like this, the debut single from new East London duo Evawolf, primarily for two reasons: the guitar parts, especially the opening, and how it picks up after 1.30 seconds in. It's a bit of a grower too, we think.
'When The Truth Is Out' is self-released this week, by Joey J (vocals, guitar) and James D (drums), who formed late last year with the express purpose of, "making songs that represent a love of post-rock and blues. We like to apply a considerable amount of bluesy emotion to our lyrics and guitar style."
'When The Truth Is Out’, offers both the canorous guitar resonance, along with blended vocal arrangements that flow in and out of the song's three-and-a-half minute duration. The pair have described their musical approach as aiming to "contrast minimalism and fuller sound dynamics", which rather sums up what they have adroitly captured here.
