Following the release of her debut EP ‘Clasp and Shake’ last year, Acre Tarn - Anna-Louisa Etherington - sets out her stall for 2015 with 'Dawn Faces'.
The electronic pop singer/producer, originally from the Lake District, has obviously been imbibed with the influence of the Lake poets set to a 21st-century mode. Taking inspiration from the rugged landscape, recording samples in hollowed out caves in the area, her music captures the essence of ghostly soundscapes and ethereal natural forces.
‘Dawn Faces’ weaves ethereal synths, striking beats with a rich bass line into the spaces around skimmering synths; a children’s choir adds a touch of the darkly intriguing.
