The new single from Pusher, ‘Here She Comes’ - coming on 7” vinyl via Genepool Records on May 18 - is a bit of a nice surprise.
The broodingingly atmospheric track eases into life by way of reverberated guitar and delay, before James Gilroy’s comes in with a vocal that sounds like he's been gnawing on wood: deep, distinct and wholly engaging. Taking a melodic soundscape, harmonising their way through an elevated chorus’ before winding the track through moody, sombre verses, the Barnsley five-piece are perhaps showing their best sound yet.
