From Ealing, west London comes Duncan Brookfield, a new face and guitar-player just heading out of the starting trap.
Known as simply Brookfield professionally, the former BRIT School alumni, has spent the last few years honing his songwriting and production skills - and taking in a little advice from London Grammar producer Tim Bran - and now releases his self-produced debut EP, 'Cloud 9'.
Soulful vocals of the Ben Howard / Tom Odell ilk, Brookfield oozes a rich with passion and angst over the four-song record. The title track encompasses an electronic fusion which, juxtaposed with the meaningful lyrics and Brookfield's delivery, lends a melancholic charm.
