Track Of The Day :: Wild Meadows - Colours
Putting out their self-titled, self-released debut EP on April 23, come Melbourne psych/shoegaze five-piece Wild Meadows.
Recorded at Tender Trap Studios, the EP showcases their ability to combine strong pop songwriting sensibilities with a heavy dose of fuzz and psychedelia, influenced by the garage, psych-pop jangle of the 60s, 80s electronica, and the swirling, experimental noise pop of the 90s.
Lead track 'Colours' is four-and-a-half minutes of some of the most delightful swirling, reverb entwined guitars and distinctive bass line that serenade around vocals courtesy of Kat Karamitros, that combine for a very memorable first taste of this new outfit, formed just last year.
Wild Meadows are: James Ross - vocals, guitar; Kat Karamitros keys, vocals; Donovan Pill - bass; Chris Rodgers - guitar; Ben King - drums
