Watch :: Young Buffalo Air 'My Place' From Upcoming Debut Album
Not sure if this video for Young Buffalo's 'My Place' was meant to have us grinning from ear to ear, but it did.
The track is taken from the Mississippi five-piece's debut album 'House', released on May 4 via Votiv / Caroline International.
'House' was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Dave Shiffman (Haim, Biffy Clyro), and is filled with their pop-infused harmonies worthy of masters of the genre like Weezer, Teenage Fanclub or Cheap Trick.
Co-vocalists Jim Barrett and Ben Yarbrough met in the college town of Oxford, Mississippi aged 13 after Jim’s band performed at a local talent show. Such long-time friendship has seen the pair through the highs of supporting Arctic Monkeys on a US tour in 2012 and the lows of founding bassist Alex Von Hardberger leaving weeks after a tour supporting The Vaccines was cancelled. As a three piece the band released an acclaimed single 'Catapilah' on Young & Lost Club in 2011. With an expanded line-up including new bassist Andrew Guinn and keyboardist Will Eubanks, they then set about recording 'House'.
Young Buffalo are currently on an extensive US tour, with UK dates to be announced.
