Introducing :: Floral Print
Out of Atlanta, Georgia comes Floral Print - who must surely have been checking out Liberty's haberdashery department - who have just released their debut EP, 'Woo', on May 1 as a small run of self-released cassettes.
You can stream it in full via their Bandcamp below.
Formed late last year, the trio came together after Nathan Springer's former band Narrator broke up. After several months of writing, George Pettis of 100 Watt Horse joined as the group's bassist and 'Woo', a six-track EP of jazzy, poppy, mathy, psychedelic-like tunes, was recorded by Graham Tavel.
The EP (or more a mini album) is hard to define, cutting across a textbox styles from opener ‘El Cerrito Plaza (For Logan)‘ with its hazy, jangly rhythm that includes trombone jazzy moments, to the more blissful instrumental ambience of 'Count The Sea', and closing track ‘Snooze Alarm/Infinite Bliss Machine‘ that bounces along on its "oh-oh-oh"'s to a glorious crescendo finish.
Floral Print are: Nathan Springer - vocals / guitar, Paul DeMerritt - drums / keys, George Pettis - bass / vocals
