New York's VYD Share New Track 'Hot Water' From Upcoming EP

We featured alt-electronic duo VYD here last year whilst wearing their 'Tank Tops'.

Now deep in 'Hot Water', taken from their EP 'Retrograde (Part 1)', out on May 22.

Comprised of singer-songwriter Justin Howard and guitarist / electronic mixer Nick Wisse, VYD developed their sound in Southern California before relocating to Brooklyn, New York, where they fuse together influences from 90s rock to hip hop and 'nu-disco'.

“We recorded the EP during Mercury Retrograde in November and December of 2014,” says Howard about the EP’s title. “So I guess the stars aligned, literally. It’s perfect because it also fits with the whole throwback feel of the EP - the idea of moving forward but giving off the illusion of going back. I think every song here went through several name changes but the EP name itself always stuck.”
