Track Of The Day :: Table Scraps - Bad Feeling
They first 'bugged' us last summer with all of 90 seconds of energy fuzz on their debut 'Bug'. Then last month they let loose with a sparky sub three-minutes of garage punk with 'Electricity'. Now, as if there's no stopping what ends they may go to, Birmingham drum n guitar duo Scott Vincent Abbott and Poppy Twist, otherwise known as Table Scraps, now twist things further with 'Bad Feeling'.
The track is the new single, out on May 25, which is another welcome taster of what the duo's debut album, 'More Time For Strangers', may have in store when it drops in June.
Their fuzz-drenched punk snarls and amplified noise, Poppy's primal beats projecting from a stand up drum kit like thunderbursts, all go to make Table Scraps one of the most exciting new bands around, and 'Bad Feeling' can only be a portent in the best possible way of what lies ahead for them.
Table Scraps play Birmingham's Hare & Hounds on June 17.
