The Maccabees are set to release their new single, ‘Something Like Happiness’, on July 31 via Fiction Records. Already shaping up to be a firm live favourite, the song - taken from their forthcoming album ‘Marks To Prove It’ out the same day - follows the explosive single ‘Marks to Prove It’.
Produced by Hugo White, The Maccabees and Laurie Latham, and written by The Maccabees - Orlando Weeks, Hugo White, Felix White, Rupert Jarvis and Sam Doyle - ‘Something Like Happiness’ is one of 11 new songs on the album. A big pop spectacular, summer ready, that shows the band are back on form.
Of the new single, Orlando says: “It’s about being really happy for someone if they’ve got something. You can feel like you have to rally against things, but people know their minds and if it brings someone contentment, then good for them.”
Although Marks To Prove It has proved to be a great album, I still prefer their older albums 'Colout it in' and 'Wall of arms' if I'm honest!
