Track Of The Day :: Lupa J - Quiet Here
Words: Linn Branson
The newly shaven-haired (done as part of the World's Greatest Shave - a fundraiser to support Australians with blood cancer) Sydney songstress Lupa J - Imogen Jones - returns with her latest track, 'Quiet Here': a subtle, effective fusion of violin coupled with electronic synth, melded by her own fragile vocal.
Still sounding light years older, both vocally and lyrically, than her still tender 17 years, Imogen first came to attention at the end of 2013 with her intriguing first offering, 'Eyes Unclouded', followed up last year with first official single, 'Statues', and EP 'The Seed' which firmly marked the classically trained violinist and singer/songwriter down as one to watch.
Since then she has continued to turn out work that crosses over into folk/electronic experimental, along with her continuing studies at Sydney's Conservatorium High.

Lupa J plays Sydney's Newtown Social Club with Japanese Wallpaper on July 4.
