Words: Ellie Ward
If you were expecting some heavy metal by their name, rest assured these Adelaide garage punk rockers are unlikely to deafen your ears with this first single to come from their debut album.
Following their 2014 EP 'A Million Hands' released on Perth label Gun Fever, 'Stay In' was recorded by Jez Giddings (The Living End, Sincerely, Grizzly) and Richard Bowers (Magic Bones), and is a “fierce ode to laziness, hopelessness and a bleak future.” Which may sound a little downcast, but this track fills out its three-minutes-plus with catchy, fuzzy hooks and driving big beat that the three-piece are known for, and it rattles along at a fair pace that is summer-vibes infused.
