From their upcoming second album 'Mothers', released September 18 via Chess Club/RCA, Brumsters Swim Deep give a taste of its contents with ‘Grand Affection’.
'Mothers', recorded in Brussels and London with producer Dreamtrak, sees a marked change in musical direction, and this track with its upbeat keys and krautrock-inspired psychedelia, indicates a move towards the electronic space in its synth sheen, a departure from debut album ‘Where The Heaven Are We’.
"We wanted to show a little bit more of our new album 'Mothers'. We had been listening to 'Temporary Secretary' off McCartney II and Kraftwerk for days which is where the riffs came from. If there's a song that lyrically captures the broader themes of 'Mothers', it's probably this one", explains vocalist Austin Williams.
