Watch :: Mt. Wolf - Red

After being away for, if not exactly a long time, certainly a good year, folktronica outfit Mt. Wolf returned last November to most people's surprise - and delight - with this emotive track. Now 'Red' gets the visuals treatment.

The title track of their EP release earlier this year, while the familiar electronic touches are still there in the distinct snap and ricochet of electronic bass and beats of Mt. Wolf of old, this returning track was that which denoted their intention to place more prominence on the organic, blending effortlessly and seamlessly to create something quite evocative. The key point is perhaps the yearning, and raw vocal inflection on looped refrain of "I’m going away for a long time" - the kind of point where one feels a slight tingle along the spine.

Mt. Wolf will play a London headline show at Bush Hall on October 14.
