OUR GIRL - SLEEPER
The debut release from the Brighton trio - which includes Soph Nathan, also a member of The Big Moon - out through Cannibal Hymns on December 11 and produced by Andy Savours (My Bloody Valentine, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart). Blending rhythmic drums, layers of garage-rock riffs and reverbed vocals that meld into an atmospheric haze. Our Girl play a special headline show at Birthdays in London on December 8. SUNFLOWER BEAN - WALL WATCHER
Taken from the Brooklyn outfit's debut full-length 'Human Ceremony', released via Fat Possum Records on February 5 2016. Julia Cumming’s light vocal is balanced against a grunge-esque melody and punchy drums. On tour with The Vaccines and Palma Violets, catch them tonight (November 17) at Wolverhampton's Civic Hall, and on 19th at the Brighton Centre. Star rating: ****/5
DAHLIA SLEEPS - HESSIAN
South London duo formerly known simply as Dahlia, Luke Hester (production; previously known for electronic outings as LuQus) and Lucy Hill (vocals) with follow-up to debut offering, ‘Breathe’ of a few weeks ago. Soft electronic beats meld with Hill's ghostly vocals in a chilled, minimalist production. Star rating: ***.5/5
RICHARD WALTERS - JULY BONES
The Liu Bei frontman delivers another typically polished and haunting four-minute work of rich melodies and deft production. Taken from a projected album, 'A.M', set for release next March, the track was inspired by American author T.C Boyle's novel Drop City - the story a disintegrating Californian hippy commune in the late 1960s. Star rating: ***.5/5
TANGERINES - SKIN DIVES

Three minutes of chugging guitar lines accompanied by Gareth Hoskins’ drawled vocal with catchy melodies over a rock n roll base.
