Watch :: MOSSY takes you to another planet with debut 'Electric Chair'
Words: Conran McMullan
MOSSY’s psych-pop will transport you to another world - full of cats and cave dancing.
Sydney's Jamie Timony - aka MOSSY - unveils his new pop-synth project with 'Electric Chair', taken from the upcoming EP, 'MOSSY', produced by Dean Tuza with additional production from David Kahne (The Strokes, Paul McCartney), which is set for release on May 9 via I OH YOU.
The video is inspired by Narcissus and Echo from Greek mythology, a story in which Narcissus does not recognize his own reflection, believing it to be a beautiful water spirit and was directed by Kris Moyes, whose previous work includes ‘Clap Your Hands’ for SIA.
With influences as wide as Leonard Cohen and Deerhunter, MOSSY uses big synths, strong guitar hooks and crunching drum beats to create his unique atmospheric psychedelia.
MOSSY has been confirmed to play this year's Great Escape festival (May 19 - 21) with additional UK dates to be announced.
