FØXE - who describe themselves as "a cross between a manly woodcutter and pretentious art school" - are just five months in on their newly formed three-piece project - and ready to offer their first track to the world in the form of 'Frequency'.
The Guildford-based outfit seem to gave picked up the PR knack from somewhere, as in their presser they continue to inform that they play "loud guitar-based indie/pop music with choruses so catchy they haunt you while you sleep." Don't know about the last part so much, but we'll give them the catchy bit.
'Frequency', which was released last week, FØXE tell Little Indie, is about a certain Frankie. Whether based in part on a real-life character, we are unsure, but safe to say that things, unfortunately, don't turn out too well for her. "The song is based right after a break-up and follows her throughout her emotional issues and eventual death. It's about how boys can be forceful and objectifying when put into a club situation, with the sample at the start showing how disposable girls can be to these boys."
