With the epic seven-minute A-side 'The Quietness', Leeds garage-psych four-piece Chaika gave us something pretty grand, and now with its B-side 'I Fall' - out this Friday (April 1) - they once again show their bite in four minutes of simply stunning dark aggression with droning guitars and a fierce
blistering intensity in the vocals of Joe Evans.
The follow-up to last year's 'The Mirror', produced by Matt Peel (Eagulls, Pulled Apart By Horses, Autobahn), if the rest of what Chaika have planned on their debut EP (currently in the writing), is as good as what they show here, all competitors are going to have to up their game or be left trailing in the wake of these Yorkshire lords.
