Watch :: DMA'S perform acoustic version of Step Up The Morphine
From the DMA’S debut album 'Hills End', the trio - Johnny Took, Matt Mason, Tommy O’Dell - offer an acoustic version of album track 'Step Up The Morphine'.
Stripped back to acoustic guitar and vocal, lead singer Tommy O'Dell lays himself bare and delivers three minutes of heartfelt raw emotion. The song was written by Took after his grandmother passed away: “You are the silence in my brain / We built a kingdom in the rain / I think we’re getting better / Sometimes I wonder why we bother at all”.
The band are currently in the UK to play a handful of live shows - all, bar Kingston on Thursday added as a late addition, sold out.
