Words: Ellie Ward
We introduced Melbourne's rising Camp Cope
here back in February. Now the three girls - Georgia Maq, Kelly-Dawn Hellmrich and Sarah Thompson - announce the release of their self-titled debut album.
Released on April 22 via Poison City Records, you can hear lead single ‘Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams’ below.
Formed in 2015 by Georgia Maq, the eight tracks on the record deal with the girls' familiar real life themes of working shifts in a hospital, living in rundown shared houses, and what it’s like to be a woman in the world that come couched under Maq's raspy voice in an indie punk setting.
