Track Of The Day :: NGOD - Blue
Words: Linn Branson
Oh, if only everything we heard sounded as good to the ears as this.
Fronted by Sam Augustine, NGOD are a Bradford-based five-piece who, with this second and latest track, 'Blue', sound very, very good indeed.
First making themselves known late last year with their debut 'Are You Satisfied' and a raft of live dates around the country since, it feels rather like they are psyching themselves up for when the big radar gong sounds and tastemakers are jumping over each other to get on to them first - which you sense is coming.
'Blue' moves into a different league to the aforementioned first offering, though still highlighting Augustine's standout vocals; everything is sharper, more resounding, with hypnotic beat and catchy groove that picks you up and carries you with it.
