After nearly 20 years away, Swedish indiepop legends return with the latest track to be taken from the new album 'Kristina', which drops on June 17 through Labrador Records. Smooth vibed electro-pop. Star rating: 3/5
MODERN PLEASURE - MESSINA
Debut single from Leeds five-piece, released last week. Breezy, uptempo four minutes balancing Scott Johnson’s easy vocals with layers of funky percussion and melodic guitars. They will also join Mumford & Sons British Summer Time Hyde Park line-up on July 8. Star rating: 3/5
MAGIC POTION - JELLY
One of the first tracks the Stockholm slacker pop combo wrote together and the last track recorded for their upcoming first full-length, 'Pink Gum', arriving May 27 via PNKSLM (vinyl/digital) and Beech Coma (cassette). Sweet pop track carried by Gustaf Montelius' mellifluous vocals. Catch live at Camden's Lock Tavern in London on June 8. Star rating: 3/5
UNION SKY - REPLAY (FEAT. MOJITO)
Electro/R&B fusion from the Tampa, Florida electro-pop trio - Cory Moore, Steele Strader, Matthew Kerley. The song lyrically tackles desire, desperation, love and loss over repeated arpeggiated 90s synth lines - and a 30-second midway rap interlude. Star rating: 3.5/5
