Listen :: PWR BTTM share new track 'Projection' and announce UK December dates

Words: Ellie Ward

Our favourite American queer pop punk duo PWR BTTM have announced not just a new single, 'Projection', but they will be gracing our UK shores at the end of the year for some live shows - their first here.

Speaking about the loud, power pop track - which debuted yesterday on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show - Ben Hopkins of the Brooklyn pair (with Liv Bruce), says: “‘Projection’ is a song about feeling unqualified to be the way you see yourself because of the way other people see you, and how other people’s perception of your identity can warp your sense of self. It’s about being exhausted with the pressure of fitting in and throwing a shiny, glorious middle finger to those who doubt you."

Preceding their December tour, PWR BTTM will release 'Ugly Cherries' in the UK on October 7 via Big Scary Monsters, with the record containing 'Projection' plus one other new track. The debut album was originally put out last September.
